- We are getting closer every day to get whatsapp:
- To be honest, I don't really see it currently possible, since a phone doesn't have push notifications. Without that feature, it would drain the battery very quickly.
- I can't get into any details, but don't lose your hope with WhatsApp. And regarding push notifications, I believe it does have them: https://developer.kaiostech.com/first-app/using-push-notificationsBut, as I'm curious about this I'll try them to see if they work and how do they work.
- So for the Indian users with a JioPhone: Did you get Whatsapp? Actually it should be already on 15. August in the store.
- @Jannis is correct. Jio phones should of got Whatsapp on 15 August. Can anyone verify if this has happened.
- I have googled a bit and it seems its still not available for the JioPhone. just imagine the users of the phone buying it at release, and one month later WhatsApp is still not available.
- Looks like Jio Phone just announced they have WhatsApp in there store from today.

:-)
Hopefully not long now for all the other KaiOS powered phones - Yes, you are right concerning the JioPhone . But I have also read some worrisome news like this one:'KaiOS is available on a handful of other devices, including ones from Alcatel and HMD Global (Nokia), but it’s not entirely clear whether WhatsApp will be made available on those devices at some point in the future.'
- It should be available because of the Tweets by Juho Sarvikas put out at the time of the initial announcement of the Jiophone 2 and WhatsApp.
- Keith, Nokia really don't seem to care much about the Nokia 8110 and the user. Rather they focus on the Android phones. So I would put no value to what a Nokia employee tweets.
- We'll have to wait and see. We should also be asking KaiOS the same question. Aren't they responsible what goes in the KaiOS store?
- yes please make it happen PLEASE !!!! whatsapp on my nokia 8110 4g
- I wait also for whatsapp!! But, PLEASE, resolve the basic problem of this phone, writing sms is REALLY TERRIBLE! Annoy you to the fullest! I write this because I care about this phone, I love Nokia! Classic phones are the real deal.
- Is it only the Kaios Jio phones that got Whatsapp? If so KaiOS will never grow. Doro, Cat, Alcatel and Nokia KaiOS phones are pointless.

- Have asked KaiOS about the availability of WhatsApp on all KaiOS phones and they replied that it is a joint effort with OEMs. They never said it was coming. Not available on the Cat B35 phone either. Doro 6050 claim it is available on websites but refuse to answer my direct question. Until I get WhatsApp on my 8110 I will just keep it in a drawer. Started using a Nokia 1 for the Same price. Everything much better except battery life. WhatsApp works well.

They are working(KaiOS,WhatsApp,JIO) together to make it globally....I guess this is never going to happen?- well, i don’t think whatsapp or any other apps would be great to have on 8110 as we had enough of social media crap! If you need any of those get a smartphone instead, this phone is made for the ORIGINAL’S and all we need is calls and text messages and BIG thanks to nokia to bring back memories! PEACE
- The whole point of the 8110 4G was for it's semi smart features. That is why it is relatively expensive for a feature phone . I regard WhatsApp as a messaging app to enable a cheap way of sending photos and and international text. If I want a feature phone just for calls and text then I would use something like the Nokia 216.
- Sorry for putting this in here but I couldn't find a way to add a new thread. My phone reset itself today as it often does. Since it came back on I have been unable to get any 4g signal, my phone just says E at the top. Has anyone else experienced this? Thanks

settings > Network & Connectivity > Mobile Network & Data > Carrier -Sim ------ Now set it to 4G/3G/2G- Hi thanks for getting back to me. Unfortunately there isn't any option to change between 2,3 and 4g in my settings.
oh! sim1 or sim2 both?Hi thanks for getting back to me. Unfortunately there isn't any option to change between 2,3 and 4g in my settings.- 0
oh! now you must go to Nokia Customer careBoth- Unfortunately I have tried that. They are beyond useless then just ended the chat
you should try a hard reset againUnfortunately I have tried that. They are beyond useless then just ended the chat- Please can anyone tell me if there is a way to save all of my notes to an SD card so that in don't lose them all when doing a hard reset? Also, is there a way to copy calendar entry's from the phone calendar to my google calendar? I had to save them on the phone calendar for quite a while as my google sync wouldn't work but that is sorted now? I could really do without losing everything again by doing a hard reset. It makes me not want to save anything on the phone as there will no doubt be another problem in a few weeks which would require another hard reset. Thank you all.
— WhatsApp from FacebookWhatsApp Messenger is a FREE messaging app available for iPhone and other smartphones. WhatsApp uses your phone's Internet connection (4G/3G/2G/EDGE or Wi-Fi, as available) to let you message and call friends and family. New privacy settings allow you to control who can add you to groups. Admins will have the option of sending you a private invite instead. Go to Settings Account Privacy Groups to get started.
Added call waiting support so you can choose to accept an incoming WhatsApp call while you're already on another call. You can now send messages directly from the Braille keyboard when using VoiceOver mode. To reduce data usage, enabling your iPhone’s Low Data Mode will now disable media auto-download in WhatsApp. Sidhupardeep.parminder, Awesome appUsing WhatsApp has been a great experience. This app has made it easier to stay in touch with family and friends either in our daily lives but especially with those that are out of the country and we can't see otherwise.
The ease of this app is great, just start texting like normally and that's it and also the video chat is simple and great. This feature keeps us connected to our family and I think it might be used the most because it makes us feel like we are there with them. It makes us feel connected. Another great feature that I love and use often too is the group feature, it's great, easy and fun all at the same time. Overall WhatsApp is a great app to keep us connected to our family and friends.
PratikPP, New feature possible?!Dear Whatsapp,It’s been long since we expected this feature was launched. However, considering the availability of data now being in large volumes (at least in our country), is it possible to share images / pictures in their original sizes in which they were clicked rather than just having to see default / lower resolution ones?! Or any way to request for an original size picture from the other end after you resized it to a default sized one. It’ll be a nice touch and feature, versus having to use other applications to send and receive actual resolution pictures.Regards.
